Fujifilm announces new X-A1 budget mirrorless camera, Fujinon 50-230mm lens

Fujifilm has announced the fourth addition to their mirrorless line-up, the Fujifilm X-A1. The camera comes with the 16-50mm f/3.5-5.6 OIS, the same kit lens that was introduced with the Fujifilm X-M1.
The X-A1 will retail for $599 with the kit lens, a whole $100 cheaper than the X-M1 at launch. The camera does trade the X-Trans sensor out for a regular CMOS sensor, while retaining the APS-C specification. The sensor carries a resolution of 16.3 megapixels and is accompanied by the EXRII image processor which allows the camera to start up in under 0.05 seconds.
The Fujifilm X-A1 will be available in September 2013 across the US for $599 with the kit lens. The camera will come in Black and Indigo Blue colours. The FUJINON XC50-230mm (76-350mm) F4.5-6.7 OIS lens will be available in November 2013 for $399.95. As for India availability and pricing, we don’t have a confirmed word on the matter yet.
